Creative Spaces: let's make this happen!
With the right resources and support, we can create a positive, structured, and engaging space that can positively support tamariki and let them thrive emotionally and socially. I would love the opportunity to collaborate with educators, whānau, and the school community to bring this vision to life.
Our creative spaces programmes
Let’s chill out and play it out, helping tamariki grow, connect, and succeed together. Discover our range of programmes and workshops designed to foster emotional and social development.
What is the Chill Out and Play It Out Zone?
This is more than just a quiet corner; it’s a structured space for emotional regulation and social skill development. Tamariki can use this area when feeling overwhelmed, fatigued, or struggling with peer relationships. Instead of reacting negatively, they can engage in calming activities or interactive games that encourage kindness, teamwork, and problem-solving.
How it works
• If a student feels overwhelmed, they can take time to calm down using sensory tools, emotional cards, or relaxation exercises.
• If two students have a conflict, they can "play it out" using board games or structured activities designed to foster positive communication.
• The space encourages social interaction, teaching tamariki how to navigate friendships and differences in a safe, guided way.
Why this matters and what are the benefits
• Empowers tamariki to manage their emotions and behaviors independently.
• Encourages positive peer interactions, reducing classroom conflicts.
• Creates a culture of kindness and inclusion, helping all students feel heard and supported.
• Supports diverse learners, giving them tools to succeed in both academics and social settings.
Community collaboration
We partner with educators, whānau, and schools in the community to foster a holistic support system for tamariki. Let's make this happen!
